Introduction to Integrative Psychiatry
Welcome to the Integrative Psychiatry Program!
This first module will provide an introduction to Integrative Psychiatry and a model for approaching individuals from an integrative perspective. In this first module, we'll expand upon neurobiological sciences, diagnostic reasoning and the integrative model, evidence translation, and quality improvement sciences. All of this content is designed to build a foundation for moving into the more advanced material.
Instructor: Dr. Nicholas Hatcher, DNP, AGACNP-BC, PMHNP-BC, CIPP.
Course Material: In each section, you'll find recorded lectures and downloadable material associated with the recorded lecture. Instead of providing PowerPoint slides, I have developed a document organizing the notes and associated images for improved clarity and legibility. Where applicable, I have included additional downloadable material (e.g., quick summaries, articles, sample diagnostic results, etc.).
Organization of Material: The material in this program will be organized around a model for integrative psychiatry (discussed in more detail in lesson 2 of this first module). Course content is organized based on the following schedule:
- Module 1: The Basics.
- Module 2: The Brain.
- Module 3: The Body.
- Module 4: Behaviors.
- Module 5: The Exposome.
- Module 6: The Big Picture.
Questions: If you have questions, please feel free to email [email protected] and I'll get back to you as soon as possible. I greatly appreciate any questions as well as suggestions for additional content. I want this to be as valuable for you as possible.
